THE NUTS AND BOLTS
I’m a versatile stagehand with twenty years of experience in live event production, including lighting design, rigging, spotlight and camera operation, and automation. I have served as a L1, L2, and Master Electrition (ME) for local and touring shows and high-end corporate and private events. I am OSHA-certified and well-versed in Grand MA 2/3, HOG 4, and Onyx software.

THE LORE

I started working backstage earlier than most. I joined the Magic of David Copperfield world tour as a performing crew member when I was just ten years old. I literally grew up backstage and on tour buses, raised as much by roadies as my kin. When the tour went through Detroit, I looked forward to working alongside my father, himself a veteran crew member and Master Electrician at Detroit’s Fox Theater. As soon as I was of age, I rejoined the Copperfield team as a green props/stage assistant. When positions became available I jumped at the opportunity to grow. I also held positions such as: assistant rigger, head spotlight operator, assitant head of LX and lighting designer/programmer. I spent the next decade honing my craft, credentials, technical prowess and entrepreneurial mindset.

After ten years working load-ins and load-outs on tour and as part of a Vegas residency crew, I stepped away from stagecraft to build something new—a business in biomechanics and structural bodywork. I earned a certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Functional Patterns Human Biomechanics Specialist, opened a gym with friends, and spent the next eight years working with athletes and professionals to heal the toll that repetitive motion, posture, and pain can take on the human body.

I never left the theater behind, however. Even as I built my business in healthcare and wellness, I continued to freelance for corporate events and concert performances in my home base of Denver, Colorado. I returned to stagecraft and live event production full-time in 2024. I continue to hone my skills and build my network. There’s nothing like live event production for hard-working, genuine people who have one another’s backs. Every day, I’m inspired by the intelligence, creativity, and professionalism of the crews I get to work with as a freelance stagehand and lighting designer. We spend the day getting things done to make sure the show goes on, because it always does.

There’s nothing better than a good show.
